I've always been fascinated by cables and the gorgeous texture that they produce, especially in Aran knitting. I love the idea of crossing your stitches, making them travel all over your piece of knit to create a beautiful path.

But I also know that cables can be intimidating! They are so diverse, with sometimes pretty complex chart that cable knitting can feel overwhelming at first. That's why I created this Promenade Challenge. I wanted to help you learn all the basics of cable knitting and to bring you on a journey to discover different kinds of cable so you can feel more confident and inspired to bring more cables to your knits!

Cable Promenade Cowl is made of 5 different sections worked flat with different cable variations. It is a single journey with simple cables transforming themselves into more complex ones, and in the end you will come full circle with the end attached to the beginning, having learned many things during your travel.

Whether you are:

  • A beginner wanting to learn the basics of cable knitting
  • A more advanced knitter ready to play with more complex cables and to try different variations

This challenge is for you!

Wherever you are in your knitting journey, this challenge will help you progress in your craft and inspire you in your cable knitting journey.

I will be there with you each step of the way, and you will also get an invitation to join the Knitters' Rendez-Vous group on Facebook, a supporting community to inspire you and help you in your creations. There will be live videos in the Facebook group where I will demonstrate the techniques and answers all your questions. A replay will also be sent in the daily email if you can't make it live.
