Hi knitter!

There’s something magical in sock knitting with how we manage to shape this little piece of knit by turning the heel to fit exactly the shape of our foot. But the mystery behind sock knitting can be intimidating at first and that’s why I created this challenge to help you learn or improve your technique and gain confidence to create all the beautiful socks of your dreams.

Have you wanted to learn how to make socks for a while but don’t know where to start? Or have you tried but felt frustrated because there were holes at the heel joint or you didn’t quite understand how to turn that heel or you struggled with how to work with dpns or magic loop? I’ve got you covered with this challenge!

Whether you are:

  • A beginner wanting to learn the basics of sock knitting

  • A more advanced knitter looking to improve your sock knitting technique or just have fun knitting a mystery sock pattern

This challenge is for you!

Wherever you are in your knitting journey, this challenge will inspire you and help you progress in your craft so you can create beautiful socks.

Over the course of 10 days, you will receive a complete pattern both charted and written made of 5 parts to learn the best tips on:

  • How to do an elastic cast-on

  • How to work a sock in the round with double pointed or circular needles

  • How to work the heel flap and turn the heel with short rows

  • How to shape the gusset of your sock

  • How to work the toe and use grafting at the end for a perfectly seamless finish

The pattern features a beautiful texture made of simple cables and a touch of lace, it is very fun to knit and is different on the leg and foot so it will definitely keep you interested!

I will be there with you each step of the way, and you will also get an invitation to join the Knitters' Rendez-Vous group on Facebook, a supporting community of over 600 knitters from all over the world to inspire you and help you create socks. There will be daily live videos in the Facebook group where I will demonstrate the techniques and answers all your questions. A replay will also be sent in the daily email if you can't make it live.
